Living in Linkoping

Hi, welcome to my blog!

Ive been living and studying in Linkoping, with my fiancee Nina for 7 weeks now. The snow and winter seem to have gone, the hockey is still going and the beer is still flowing!

This photo was taken at the recent Linkoping vs Djurgarden hockey match in Cloetta Center which Linkoping won 4-2.

In the last week, Linkoping faced off against Lulea in the play-offs, and won the serioes 4-0. Ive attended all of the LHC games since i arrived here on Jan 21st, and I'd have to say, while LHC has not played great, they are hitting form at the right time. The best games so far have been against Farjestad (4-3 OT loss) and Djurgarden (4-2 win)

In my Masters course, there are 30 students from all over the world - China, Mexico, Turkey, Finland, Sweden, Thailand etc etc. Most weekends we are at Corridor parties, followed by a visit to the local student night club in Ryd - HG.
These guys make up the infamous F4 around Ryd, Cristhian (Mexico), Talha (Turkey), Turan (Azerbaijan - but studied in Germany) and me, Billy.

This week we have studying ahead of the exam next Monday, then on Thursday week we will all be paying a visit to Plateu club in the city centre.

Every weekend there are corridor parties around the main student area in Linkoping - Ryd. HG pub/club is pretty decent, and drinks are reasonably priced at 27kr (£1.80) per pint.
Other good bars i'm frequently in are O'Learys Irish Sports Bar in Linkoping City Centre and Kina-Thai which is in Ryd, and shows live Premiership football every weekend.
